What's in a Name?

Purple Chair may seem like another non-sensical production company name.  I’m sure you’ve seen a few…maybe a fictional animal, a silly pun, or a made-up word that’s an inside joke. 

Well, Purple Chair has roots.  When I built my first edit suite as a small business owner, I wanted to create a comfortable place for clients to sit and supervise their edit sessions.  I found a great pair of purple leather chairs and every client that sat in them commented on how comfortable they were.

Today, technology has greatly reduced the need for supervised edit sessions, but the chairs remain as a reminder that we are here to serve.  Because the most important voice in any production is the voice of the person for whom the purple chairs were purchased…you.
